Come enjoy a unique dining experience at Frida's Mexican Restaurant. You will find a romantic, elegant atmosphere with dishes rarely seen in Mexican Restaurants. Co-owners Antonio Pina and Rocio Pina serve gourmet Mexican cuisine with authentic ingredients and complex sauces. The brother-sister duo created a menu that honors the surrealist painter, Frida Kahlo.

The restaurant elegance is a dedication to the spirit of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo and her husband, Diego Rivera. Antonio Pina has been an admirer of the late Frida Kahlo since his days in Junior High School. That is when he first saw her artwork and fell in love with Kahlo's grace, elegance and style.

Kahlo started to paint at the age of 18 while hospitalized after a bus accident. She suffered from pain for the rest of her turbulent but colorful life, until her death in 1954 at the age of 47. In 1983, twenty nine years after her death, Kahlo's work was declared the property of Mexico. Along with Kahlo's art came her love of food that so inspired Antonio.

Back in 2002 a movie was made of Frida Kahlo with Salma Hayek as the featured star. The movie chronicles the life of Kahlo and her husband, the Mexican muralist. The two had a complex relationship, which shows in her art.

Excellent food, great prices, and outstanding service! The owners make frequent visits to Mexico to bring back new recipes to give customers a non-static changing menu. To protect the family recipes, Antonio prepares all the sauces himself, fresh everyday. He does not want even his employees to know the secrets. The dishes are also prepared with healthier concerns than the usual Mexican meals. Many raving restaurant reviews are nicely framed on a back wall.
